On November 14, an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly will consider a draft resolution on the establishment of a mechanism to compensate Ukraine for the damage caused by the Russian war.
This was reported on Tuesday by the spokeswoman for the President of the General Assembly Paulina Kubiak.
The document contains the recognition by the UN states of the need to create a compensation mechanism to compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine by the Russian Federation, and recommendations to the states to create a register of such damages. In particular, it refers to the damage caused to property of various forms of ownership, individuals and legal entities, the environment, etc.
The meeting of the General Assembly will begin on Monday at 10:00 (17:00 Kyiv time).
